A mortice nightlatch works in the same way as a "Yale" type surface fitted nightlatch. Entry using a key and exit using a thumbturn. (You can also use a lever or knob fitted inside if you prefer.) Cylinders below.

Available in Satin Brass, Satin Stainless Steel, Polished Stainless Steel (like chrome), IBMA Bronze or black with a matching striker and screws. They can usually be finished to match your door furniture for an additional fee when ordered at the same time.

Available with a "snib" holdback function.

These locks are handed. To establish handing stand where you can see the hinge knuckles, in other words where the door would swing toward you when it is opened. If the door is hinged on the left it is left hand, hung on the right it is right hand. Simple! You then only need to tell us inward or outward opening.

OPERATION: Latchbolt operated by key from outside and lever handle, knob or thumbturn from inside.

SPECIFICATION:

CASE.Pierced to accept 20mm and 38mm centre bolt through fixing escutcheons. Pierced to accept 38mm centre diagonally opposed bolt through fixing furniture.

LATCHBOLT. Brass. Projection 12mm.

FOLLOWER. Brass, to suit 8mm square spindle. One-way action sprung to suit sprung lever handle furniture.
